Vintage Georges Briard Oriental Peacock porcelain sugar bowl with lid and matching creamer, each approx. 3" tall. Made in Japan and marked as an authentic reproduction of early 19th century Oriental porcelain, circa 1825, from Briard’s private collection. Features colorful peacock/bird artwork with blue and red border accents on white porcelain. Georges Briard was the design name of Jascha Brojdo, known for bold mid-century glassware, ceramics, barware, and serveware popular from the 1950s-1970s. Great MCM, chinoiserie, bird, tea, coffee, or tableware collectible. No chips or cracks noted. Light surface wear, small specks, minor discoloration, and residue/soil on the foot rings.
