Ancient hammered silver drachm from the Sasanian Persian Empire, likely issued under Khusro II, circa AD 591–628. The obverse depicts a crowned ruler facing right within a double border. The reverse features the traditional Zoroastrian fire altar flanked by two attendants, with mint and regnal-year markings around the outer field. This example has a broad irregular flan with visible portrait and reverse details, along with circulation wear, toning, surface marks, and areas of weak or flattened detail.
