Authentic ancient silver drachm attributed generally to the Sasanian Empire of Persia, circa AD 224–651. The obverse shows a crowned Sasanian ruler surrounded by Pahlavi-style inscriptions. The reverse features the traditional Zoroastrian fire altar flanked by two attendants, a defining design of Sasanian silver coinage. These drachms were typically struck by hand and commonly weighed around 4 grams when complete. This example has heavy circulation wear, surface deposits, an irregular flan, and edge loss. Exact ruler, mint, date, silver purity, and authenticity have not been professionally verified. Includes the educational Sasanian Silver Drachm display card shown.
