Product Details
Small medieval-style copper-alloy annular suspension loop or mount, approximately the size of a U.S. nickel. This heavy open-ring fitting may have originally been used on a casket, chest, furniture piece, harness, or another functional medieval object. The enlarged side projections may have served as mounting or attachment points, while the inner ring shows wear consistent with suspension or repeated movement. The exact date and original use are unconfirmed, so it is being offered as an unidentified medieval-period fitting based on the stated provenance. Displays heavy age-related patina, oxidation, mineral deposits, surface wear, and encrustation. A neat little artifact with strong medieval and archaeological appeal. See photos for exact condition and details.
