Product Details

Vintage Tabor, Iowa newspaper lot featuring four local issues/publications: The Tabor Beacon July 26, 1917 with WWI draft “Winners in the Human Lottery” front-page list; The Tabor Beacon 60th-90th Anniversary Number from Oct. 22, 1942; The Tabor Beacon July 16, 1952 “Welcome to Tabor’s Big Centennial” issue; and Beacon-Enterprise Jan. 1, 1975 New Year issue. Great local history lot with Iowa advertising, grocery ads, farm ads, Tabor College mention, Centennial coverage, anniversary content, Fremont County news, and small-town genealogy interest. Nice for collectors of Iowa newspapers, WWI home front history, advertising, and paper ephemera. Pre-owned vintage/antique newspaper condition with expected age and handling wear. Issues show toning, fold lines, edge wear, small tears, creases, chipping, brittleness, small holes, and some separations along folds. The 1942 anniversary issue has more noticeable edge wear and fold wear. The 1917 issue has age toning and fold wear but strong WWI draft content. Some issues may be incomplete or loose as shown. See pictures for further details on condition.
