Product Details

This issue is scarce because publisher James Warren experimented with a non-returnable distribution model. Fearing they would be stuck with unsold stock, newsstands ordered significantly fewer copies than usual. This created low distribution numbers, making it one of the hardest Silver Age Eerie issues to find today. The Cover Typo Legend: Collectors often point out a noticeable typo on the front cover where "Suspense" is misspelled as "Suspence". While some community lore suggests Warren restricted printing due to embarrassment over the typo, the non-returnable shipping test remains the primary historical factor for its scarcity. Cover Art: The artwork is by Tom Sutton, although the magazine's interior credit page accidentally miscredited the cover to Barry Rockwell. Condition: The book has some defects like writing on the back cover, some spine ticks and some micro tears by staples.
