This sterling silver pendant by the talented Navajo-trained Apache artist Rosella Paxton showcases a bold butterfly motif brought to life with richly colored Hubei turquoise. The wings are formed by four striking stones in dramatic green tones with matrix ranging from deep brown to black, creating exceptional depth and contrast. The upper wings are shaped as triangles, while the lower wings are elongated ovals with pointed ends, giving the butterfly graceful movement. Each stone is bezel set with fine twist wire borders, and the design is further enhanced with clusters of stamped and smooth raindrops along with large-scale twist wire accents. Dark green Hubei turquoise cabochons form the eyes, adding a captivating focal detail. The bail is fully decorated with stampings and a stamped raindrop accent, and the back of the butterfly is stamped RP STERLING, confirming the maker.
