These earrings by world-famous Mixtec artist Federico Jimenez beautifully combine floral silverwork with neutral stone accents. The stones appear to be jasper, adding warm natural color and pattern to the design. The posts are positioned just above center while remaining within the circular center of each flower, allowing the flowers to sit attractively on the ear while the crosses move freely below. Purchased directly from Federico Jimenez and offered as New Old Stock, these never-worn earrings are stamped STERLING and with Federico's hallmark on the reverse of each flower, making them a wonderful collectible example of his distinctive artistry. Condition Note: there is an irregular spot in the stone behind the right side of the earring on the right. See the left side of right earring in the second photo for details. Federico only uses natural stones in his jewelry, this is naturally occurring. The area is textured but feels just as silky smooth as the rest of the two stones.
