Historic Saudi Arabia 1 Riyal dated AH 1354 (1935), authenticated by NGC Genuine and housed in the special SS John Barry shipwreck holder. This issue was struck at the Philadelphia Mint and recovered from the famous SS John Barry, a Liberty ship sunk during World War II in 1944 while transporting a large shipment of Saudi silver Riyals. Features beautiful Arabic inscriptions, palm trees, crossed swords, and the Saudi national emblem. A fascinating combination of world coinage, U.S. Mint history, and shipwreck provenance.
