This is a vintage Van Cleef & Arpels "Gem" large store display factice perfume bottle (c. 1987). Designed as a luxury counter display piece for high-end department stores, this oversized bottle features a fan-shaped glass vessel framed inside a geometric gold-tone casing, topped with a faceted diamond-shaped glass stopper. The front glass is printed in gold lettering with "Gem de Van Cleef & Arpels Paris" and stamped "parfum" along the lower gold border. The lower reverse edge is marked "FACTICE", indicating this is an authentic non-fragrance dummy display bottle created purely for counter presentation. The display bottle stands approximately 4 1/2 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide. Condition is very good vintage; the glass vessel and stopper are crack-free and clean, displaying expected minor age patina and light surface scuffs to the gold-finished casing.
