Beautiful vintage copper vase featuring hand-worked embossed and chased decoration with birds, flowers, leaves and scrolling motifs. The vase has a rounded bulbous body, long flared neck and wide opening. The warm aged copper surface has developed attractive variations in color and patina that highlight the raised decoration. The design is characteristic of traditional Middle Eastern/Persian and Indo-Persian decorative copperwork, although this piece is unmarked and its exact country of origin is unknown. Measures approximately 7.5" tall with an opening approximately 3.5" across. Weight is approximately 12.9 oz. Good vintage condition with surface scratches, spotting, oxidation/patina and other age-related wear visible throughout. No maker's mark found.
