Vintage Ohio State Buckeyes ceramic beer stein commemorating the historic November 21, 1970 football victory over Michigan. Approximately 6" tall with cream glaze, scarlet trim and large handle. Front reproduces the Columbus Sunday Dispatch dated November 22, 1970 with the headline “Record 87,331 See Bucks Stomp Wolves, 20-9.” The undefeated rivals played before a then-record Ohio Stadium crowd of 87,331, with Ohio State winning the Big Ten title and earning a Rose Bowl berth. Bottom is unmarked, so exact maker and manufacture date are unknown. Great Ohio State, Michigan rivalry and vintage college football collectible. No chips or cracks noted.
