Product Details

An affordable piece of early Chilean history—an 1802 silver 1 Real struck at the Santiago mint under King Charles IV, with the So mintmark and JJ assayer initials. This KM#58 type was issued while Chile was still part of the Spanish Empire and has a reported mintage of 81,000. Photo grade: G/VG Details. The date, legends, crowned Spanish arms and pillars remain readily identifiable, while the king’s portrait is heavily worn. The coin has been cleaned and shows extensive scratches/hairlines, especially across the obverse, along with normal rim and edge wear. Dark gray retoning remains around the devices. Uncertified; grade and attribution are opinions based on the photos. Exact coin shown—please review all images carefully. A budget-friendly way to add more than 220 years of Spanish colonial silver history to your collection.
