Vintage circa 1950s black-and-white 8x10 photograph showing a large theater or operetta cast posed on stage following a production. Approximately 60-70 performers appear in formal gowns, military-style uniforms, folk costumes and period dress, with elaborate painted scenery behind them. Orchestra chairs, music stands, piano and bass drum are visible below the stage. Reverse is stamped “Photograph by Henry M. Blatney, 372 E. Market St., York, Pa.” Exact production, venue and individuals are unidentified. Wonderful piece of York, Pennsylvania theatrical history and mid-century performing arts ephemera.
