Product Details
An exceptional strand of graduated natural Baltic amber beads displaying rich cognac, honey, and butterscotch tones with remarkable organic character. Unlike later machine-made examples, these beads retain their irregular freeform shaping and areas of the original natural rind, creating a highly collectible rustic appearance. Based on the construction, bead shaping, and preserved natural surfaces, this necklace is believed to date from approximately the 1940’s making it a wonderful example of vintage Baltic amber jewelry. The preservation of the natural weathered cortex (rind) on many beads is a characteristic prized by collectors, as it highlights the amber’s natural origin and traditional craftsmanship. UV reactive and passed the static test
