Stunning sterling silver Purple Mojave Turquoise statement pendant featuring a large oval cabochon surrounded by elaborate dimensional botanical silverwork. The stone displays saturated purple, violet and magenta tones intersected by dramatic metallic bronze-colored matrix, creating its distinctive mosaic appearance. Purple Mojave Turquoise is a specialty treated turquoise material. Genuine turquoise is stabilized, color enhanced and combined with metallic matrix to create the characteristic purple coloration and golden-bronze veining. This material is particularly associated with Kingman, Arizona turquoise. The pendant is beautifully constructed with layered sculptural leaves, floral details and an ornate decorative bail. Two articulated leaf drops provide movement at the bottom. The reverse has an open area behind the cabochon where the stone can also be viewed.
